Consumer Financial Protection Bureau: Library resources
The CFPB is partnered with libraries across the US to help make “libraries the go-to source for financial education”. They have created financial education resources for libraries, including training, program ideas, and marketing materials. The CFPB also wants libraries to partner with local organizations and have created the Community Partnership Guidebook (PDF) as a starting resource.
Money Smart Week
Held every April, Money Smart Week is a national initiative between ALA and the Federal Reserve Bank (Chicago) to provide financial literacy programming.
Smart Investing @ Your Library
The American Library Association and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation have partnered to create a national network designed to help individuals learn about financial topics. The Smart Investing website offers information, tips, and resources for libraries to create programs geared toward financial literacy.
