The Library\u2019s Web Site, buenavistalibrary.org, serves as a portal to its services and products. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><b>Measures to support accessibility<\/b><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Buena Vista Public Library takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Library Web Site:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">\n<li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" font-weight:=\"\" 400=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: =;\" 400=\"\">Integrate accessibility into our procurement practices for digital products.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" font-weight:=\"\" 400=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" font-weight:=\"\" 400=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schedule regular monitoring of our accessibility through quality assurance methods.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-size: 16px;\" font-weight:=\"\" 400=\"\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Integrate accessibility into our internal marketing and graphics practices, including meeting contrast requirements and providing alt text for digital images.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><b>Conformance status<\/b><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/WAI\/standards-guidelines\/wcag\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The current goal for the Library Web Site is to fully conform with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 24px;\"><b>Limitations and alternatives<\/b><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Library Web Site, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a public library, we hire the services of third-party vendors to supply an array of digital content to our patrons. The Library will ensure third-party content providers know of our web accessibility policy, and we will favor providers based on their accessibility conformance claims.
